Gosh Darn

I spent the first two months of this year doing nothing but studying smooching and working so it's pretty clear how much reading got done. Mostly I read when I could, getting a couple chapters here and there and gobbling up old National Geographics for what I called "supplemental reading" for my classes (when in reality I was just craving some words to see). Finally I settled on short stories, specifically by David Sedaris who happens to be the funniest author out there. I just finished When You Are Enfulfed in Flames after many days of L'ing O Elll (new slang for laughing out loud). I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel like I laugh the most in parts where I'm like "hey that's how my brain works!" In any case it's morbid, pathetic, hilarious, and brilliant. I mean, who else would think to compare puffy sneakers to hot dogs?? Tee hee. I can't wait for more by this author! (Oh and I can't wait for spring break because my brain is in dire need of some good novelage.)
